I offer a variety of therapeutic services both in-person and utilizing telemental health. My various modalities include (not limited to) art therapy, psychotherapy, addiction counseling, hypnotherapy, DBT, EFT, SFBT, and EMDR. As a Reiki Master and SoulCollage® Facilitator as well, I provide clients with additional options during sessions. In addition to individual, couples and family sessions, I facilitate groups and workshops that integrate Art Therapy, DBT, The Artist's Way, Nature, SoulCollage®, Solutions Focused Therapy, and Meditation. These groups and workshops explore various topics such as codependency, addiction, anxiety, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, ADHD, self-care, and more. Stay tuned for detailed announcements on upcoming sessions and workshop themes.

Incorporating the therapeutic presence of Alfie, a 27lb Boston Terrier/Pug mix undergoing therapy dog training, adds a unique dimension to my practice. According to Psychiatry.org, being in the company of animals can contribute to reducing anxiety, tension, stress hormones, as well as lowering blood pressure and heart rate. During sessions, Alfie calmly greets clients and then settles beside me in my chair.

Working from a strength-based approach to meet you where you are, I feel that the therapeutic relationship is sacred. Each person, family or group is different with different needs. It is through my life experience, training, and education that I am able to work creatively with you to meet your needs and goals. I provide therapeutic services to groups, individuals of all ages, families and couples, and have extensive experience working with individuals and families struggling with addiction.

As an Art Therapist and Psychotherapist I believe in healing through creativity and that creativity is an everyday life force. Using this in my work with those I serve, I have found that people are able to access creativity not only in creative expression but also in discovering choices they did not know they had.

A 20 year background in management and technology including time on Wall Street, in addition to several years in arts management before ten years as a therapist, provides me with a breadth of understanding, a broad range of skills, and the depth of knowledge to offer guidance and support in your own journey toward healing.

I do this work with the belief that people who come for therapy have what they need inside themselves, and my job is to help them connect, reconnect, or discover the strengths necessary to have the lives they want.

I believe a life of fulfillment is one that resounds in your unique purpose. Wherever you are in your journey, I will guide you to reconnect to your inner strengths and the realm of possibilities found within your deeper self.

I employ a holistic, integrative, therapeutic approach, interweaving coaching into my practice, that includes, talk therapy, Expressive Arts, yoga therapy, ecotherapy, mindfulness, and Bowen Family Systems theory. In a nurturing, but direct manner, my goal is to co-design and facilitate a process that best suits your path in life, utilizing some or just one of the offered modalities.

I will guide you to develop a keen sense of your body’s intuition. The body will lead you to the truth. This is a skill worthy of developing, and can be cultivated in many ways. A particularly effective approach that taps into intuition is Expressive Arts (EA). EA has been effectively been used to relieve stress, gain insight, foster healing and propel transformation. EA includes all art forms including , as examples, music, body awareness and movement, collage, journaling, and nature. The arts bring forth images or experiences through insights, that, with reinforcement, can be actualized to make powerful changes in your living process.

I work with adults of all ages. My thirty three year background in the therapeutic field, has included working in mental health, career development, health and wellness, and personal/ academic counseling in a college setting. Working in higher education as a professor and counselor, I have taught, counseled and coached students ranging in age from 15-90. Courses I have repeatedly taught, human relations, positive psychology and first year experience, have broadened my awareness and knowledge in areas of professional development, developing a life of satisfaction and fostering resiliency and a growth mindset. Personally, I am a breast cancer survivor, and have experienced significant loss in my life. I specialize in life transitions , from divorce to retirement, overcoming depression through purpose, managing anxiety in productive ways, career exploration and transformation, coping with illness and caregiving, and building and sustaining healthy relationships. I offer customized workshops and groups.
